  • Mixing Associate (2nd shift)

    Job Title: Mixing Associate

    Job Status: Non - Exempt / Hourly

    Job Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:30p – 11:00pm EST

    Reports to: Production Supervisor


    Job Summary

    The Mixing Associate position, while under the supervision of the Team Lead, will be responsible to perform basic operation of assigned mixing equipment machine(s) and other related processes. They will be accountable to ensure their finished products meet Ascot Valley Foods quality and safety standards.


    Essential Functions

    ● Ability to work repetitively on one or more product lines, as scheduled.

    ● Ensures continuous flow of product and monitors for proper mixing of baking / frying

    ● Works with appropriate resources, as needed to correct and prevent issues in a timely manner.

    ● Performs visual inspection of product for any defects or rework and follows the process for defective products.

    ● Performs basic production machine maintenance, as needed.

    ● Completes required paperwork, logs and computer systems for inventory accuracy.

    ● Responsible to maintain a clean working area by performing general sanitation of equipment to keep the work area pathogen free.

    ● Commitment to follow and maintain all safety policies and procedures.

    ● Ability to safely lift up to 60+ lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.


    Competencies or Experience Requirements

    ● 1 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment.

    ● Basic math, reading and writing skills.

    ● Ability to follow instructions, policies, procedures in written, verbal or diagram form.

    ● Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to remain on feet for several hours at a time

    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance

    • Must be able to visually detect defects in product

    • Ability to work in hot, cold and/or loud environments

    • Ability to squat, kneel and bend over


    Education Requirements

    High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Packaging Associate (2nd shift)

    Job Title: Packaging Associate

    Job Status: Non - Exempt / Hourly

    Job Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:30p – 11:00pm EST.

    Reports to: Production Supervisor


    Job Summary

    The Packaging Associate, while under the supervision of the Team Lead, will be responsible to perform basic operation of assigned packaging equipment machine(s) and other related processes. They will be accountable to ensure finished products meet Ascot Valley Foods quality and safety standards.


    Essential Functions

    • Ability to work repetitively on one or more product line, as scheduled.

    • Ensures continuous flow of product and monitor for proper positioning, spacing, sealing and correct codes / labels.

    • Works with appropriate resources, as needed to correct and prevent issues in a timely manner.

    • Performs visual inspection of product for any defects or rework and follows the process for defective products.

    • Performs basic production machine maintenance, as needed.

    • Completes required paperwork, logs and computer systems for inventory accuracy.

    • Responsible to maintain a clean working area by performing general sanitation of equipment to keep the work area pathogen free.

    • Commitment to follow and maintain all safety policies and procedures.

    • Ability to safely lift up to 60+ lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.


    Competencies or Experience Requirements

    • 1 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Preventative Maintenance Technician (2nd shift)

    Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician

    Job Status: Non - Exempt / Hourly

    Job Shift: 2nd Shift

    Reports to: Maintenance Manager


    Job Summary

    The Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible to manage the preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance program for the company’s 2nd shift. This role will be responsible to maintain and repair the facilities' building and manufacturing equipment.


    Essential Functions

    • Organizes and procures resources to ensure the efficient coordination of maintenance equipment.

    • Develops maintenance plans and schedules for the second shift in coordination with preventative maintenance team members.

    • Analyzes maintenance data to make recommendations for the continuous improvement of the maintenance program.

    • Generates solutions for solving equipment problems while providing technical support to management and working with production personnel.

    • Estimates time and material costs for equipment repairs while assisting in determining the course of action.

    • Maintains detailed records for tracking documents, including work orders, project files, progress charts and schedules.

    • Responsible to set up and maintain a historical database, generating maintenance reports, as needed.

    • Performs skilled maintenance work on all line equipment, including but not limited to: liquid nitrogen refrigerant system, fryer, oven and other production line equipment.

    • Adheres to all safety, maintenance and production standards set by OSHA, GMPs, SQF and HACCP guidelines.

    • Ability to performs additional maintenance on facility, such as painting, carpentry and plumbing, etc.


    Competencies or Experience Requirements

    • 1-3 years of experience in preventative maintenance.

    • Knowledge and experience with electrical systems, HVAC and hydraulics.

    • Ability to perform electrical equipment installations.

    • Ability to operate tools such as, but not limited to: metal lathes, mills, drill presses and shears.

    • Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.

    • Work may include physical effort, including lifting 50-100 pounds, bending, squatting and reaching.

    • Must be able to provide scheduling coverage, as needed.

    • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

    • Strong organizational skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Excellent problem solving skills.

    • Ability to work in a team environment.


    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 60lbs without assistance

    • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time

    • Ability to sit, stand, squat, kneel and bend over

    • Must be able to work in a hot, cold and/or loud environment

    • Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and managers

  • Sanitation Technician (3rd shift)

    Job Title: Sanitation Technician

    Job Status: Hourly

    Job Shift: 3rd Shift, 10pm-6am

    Reports to: Sanitation Supervisor


    Job Summary

    The Sanitation Technician is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through completing proper cleanup and sanitation tasks by following regulatory standards, ensuring the production areas are both cleaned and sanitized.


    Essential Functions

    • Trained and follows all SSOP for facility’s cleaning and sanitizing process.

    • Completion of proper tear down, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment and machines.

    • Uses high pressure or high-volume water hoses in a safe and effective manner.

    • Performs facility cleaning and maintains general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.

    • Completion of daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannually, and annual MSS items.

    • Assist fellow team members when necessary.

    • Ensure all cleaning equipment and tools are maintained for peak performance and effective cleaning.

    • Responsible to report any issues and/or recommendations to the Sanitation Supervisor at all times.

    • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor


    Competencies or Experience Requirements

    • Able to work overtime as needed.

    • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

    • Must work closely with others in a team atmosphere.

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently (on an occasional basis).

    • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the assigned shift.

    • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manner.

    • Must be able to work in a wet environment with some exposure to dust, gas or fumes, and cleaning chemicals.

    • Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings.

    • Some mechanical ability to work safely and to perform proper sanitation.

    • Excellent attention to detail and keen eye for cleanliness.

    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Experience within the Food and Beverage industry preferred.


    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance

    • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, etc. throughout the assigned shift

    • Ability to stand on your feet for several hours at a time

    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productive machinery

    • Ability to conduct sensory inspections


    Education Requirements

    High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.


    Travel

    No travel is expected for this position.
